AXIS MUNDI

Axis Mundi is a New York-based interior design and architecture studio founded in 2004 by John Beckmann. Known for contemporary, minimalist aesthetic and interdisciplinary approach, axis mundi specializes in residential and commercial interiors and furniture, with notable projects in the United States and internationally. Beckmann, a Parsons graduate mentored by minimalist designer Joseph P. D’Urso, brings a background in philosophy and visual culture, along with contributions to architecture and editorial work on The Virtual Dimension: Architecture, Representation, and Crash Culture.
